DNR Safety Classes
Blue Knight Driving School is proud to offer DNR safety programs as a community service. We offer Wisconsin DNR safety courses in Snowmobile, Boating, ATV, and Hunter Safety. Classes generally run seasonally.
John has been a DNR certified instructor for a long time. He has taught snowmobile safety for approximately 11 years and boater and hunter safety for over five years each. As an avid snowmobiler, John enjoys riding in Wisconsin, the Yellowstone area, and Canada. He also enjoys hunting and ATV riding. Another service John performs is as a water and snowmobile patrol officer.
Todd is an apprentice DNR instructor, soon to receive his certification in hunter education.
The classes will be assisted by other volunteer instructors and the local DNR warden for the area. Classes are also listed on the DNR website. Most years the classes fill quickly. To reserve your spot, email John below. See upcoming classes listed on this page below contact box
Wisconsin ATV Safety Course | $10
All-terrain vehicle and utility terrain vehicle riding is a growing sport in Wisconsin. Along with the privilege of enjoying the sport comes the responsibility of making sure you are operating these vehicles safely and responsibly.
If you are born after Jan. 1, 1988 and are at least 12 years old, you must complete an ATV and UTV safety course. Why not take it at Blue Knight Driving School? Owned and operated by police officers, we cover all the needed safety instructions in our ATV course.
Wisconsin Boating Safety | $10
Complete your boating safety course and obtain your Wisconsin Boating Safety Certificate from Blue Knight Driving School! This course covers everything from knowing and operating your boat to boat emergencies and how to handle them properly.
Wisconsin Snowmobile Safety Class | $10

Snowmobiling is a fun and unique Wisconsin activity. Although it is enjoyable, we want everyone to be safe out there. Our snowmobile safety class is available for anyone over the age of 12 and covers all the basics of operating a snowmobile.
Remember: A temperature below 32 degrees and a 6" snow cover are needed to legally operate a snowmobile in Waukesha County. Please follow this rule!
